Welcome to a new appointment with Popular Chips’ Influencer interviews. Today we are in the company of the beautiful and talented Emma Glover, an international lingerie and fitness model. Please find some quick stats about @missemmaglover and her full interview just below.
Describe your Instagram profile, what you post and why.
My Instagram profile is a mixture of work pics, my real life and of course the mandatory food pics! I think it’s a great way to stay in touch with my fans.
When did you start your Instagram experience?
I was a little late to the Instagram party and recall lots of my friends posting before it clicked with me. I think I’ve been making up for it since and I post every day now!
Did you start with the purpose to make it into a job or did it start as a passion that then became a job?
It started with, and still is a passion. I love social media and what it stands for. I regularly lose hours at a time scrolling and liking my way through Instagram!
How long did it take to you to make your first 10,000 followers? Was it a difficult process?
I don’t recall exactly how long it took me; my Instagram has peaks and troughs though. Sometimes I gain 1,000 new followers a day, other weeks I’m stuck on a certain number.
What camera/phone do you use to take your pictures? Would you recommend it to others?
I’m not a professional blogger, I just use my iPhone and snap away as I go through my day.
Do you use filters on a regular basis?
Yes I do use filters. If I look particularly bad in a pic, I’ve been known to use a double filter: I filter once, screen shot then put into Instagram and filter again. If all else fails, use black and white.
Which is the post that you like the most or are most proud of?
I couldn’t choose a single post that I like the most. I think models are always super critical of their own pics! Fans always seem to prefer selfie type pics over professional pics and there are no shortage of selfies on my account!
What kind of people do you follow on Instagram? Celebrities, Brands, other influencers, fans?
I follow a huge mixture of people, lots of other models as they provide me with a lot of inspiration! Fans, friends and family. That’s what I love most about Instagram: there’s always something new to see!
Is there an Instagram Influencer/celebrity that you appreciate particularly and that you would like to mention?
Have you ever worked with international brands that published a sponsored post in your Instagram feed?
I worked with the international apparel wear company @headrush brand, and I loved the collection (particularly the gym wear) they sent me. I also work with @ProteinWorld whom I’m a huge fan of. I used their products way before I started working with them.
Have you ever bought followers or likes?
No I believe my Instagram should be organic. I don’t post products I don’t use or believe in, and I wouldn’t buy fake followers either.
What would you suggest to someone who wants to be an Instagram Influencer
Just be true to yourself; if you post about what interests you and what’s real, people will follow. Don’t try to imitate someone else’s page, just keep it real.
