Please welcome Today’s Instagram star Georgina Chávez, an amazing Fashion Illustrator from Brazil who is gaining more and more fame on Instagram. Please find below some insights from @georginachavezbdr‘s Instagram profile and her full interview.
Describe your Instagram profile, what you post and why.
I’m a Fashion illustrator: I post all my process, illustrations and tips on how to illustrate. I like to show my followers my complete creative process.
When did you start your Instagram experience?
I created with my Instagram account around 2012, but I haven’t started to upload my work until 2013.
Did you start with the purpose to make it into a job or did it start as a passion that then became a job?
It started as an hobby, I liked to draw and illustrate, thanks to Instagram it became my full time job.
How long did it take you to make your first 10,000 followers?
So difficult to begin! But once I became one of Instagram’s suggested users, in a matter of hours I got 10,000 followers!
What camera/phone do you use to take your pictures?
I use my phone camera. I mostly upload digital illustrations so I don’t need a lot of equipment for photography; honestly I’m not much of a photographer 🙂
Do you use filters on a regular basis? If so, which ones?
Yes, I mostly use Valencia and Nashville.
Have you ever collaborated with other influencers? If so, how?
Yes, principally with fashion bloggers. I draw them in their favorite outfits.
What kind of people do you follow on Instagram?
Principally fashion brands and illustrators. It helps me to keep me updated. Also a lot of makeup accounts. I regularly check my Instagram feed during the day and before sleep for 1 hour in total.
Is there an Instagram Influencer/celebrity in particular that you appreciate and would like to mention?
Have you ever worked with international brands that published a sponsored post in your Instagram feed? If so, can you please make some example and tell us your experience?
I worked with Melissa shoes; they launched a Star Wars shoes line and I illustrated the shoes and made some posts about them. It was so cool!
How often do you publish sponsored posts commissioned by brands? How do you think your audience reacts to sponsored posts?
Usually once a month, but it try to keep them related to my illustrations, I don’t want to spam or annoy my followers.
Have you ever accepted to publish a sponsored post for a brand without being paid?
Yes, but they sent gifts or other things.
What would you suggest to someone who wants to be an Instagram Influencer?
I Think the key to being an influencer is to be VERY patient and passionate about something. It takes a lot of work and time, but once you find the right formula it pays off.
