Biggest Instagram Outage in History

We’ve never seen anything like this

Instagram users might have found their news feeds unable to refresh after 12 midnight (GMT +8) or red rings with tiny exclamation marks around their IG stories that simply wouldn’t post. Between the hours of midnight and 3AM, Instagram received 15, 536 reports from users. This is a massive increase from the usual 2-5 reports. By 9AM (GMT +8) the reports had doubled, and Instagram users in East America, Singapore, Malaysia and Japan are bearing the brunt of this bug.

Today the world sees the biggest outage that Instagram has ever encountered in the history of Facebook.

There is no news of when it will be up again, but one thing is certain: people can’t go long without scrolling their feeds so we best hope this outage doesn’t turn into an outrage.
